How Twine Growth collects, uses and protects personal information, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Twine Growth Limited is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 16831329. You can reach us at info@twinegrowth.com.
What we collect, and when
The Five Fibre Franchise Growth Scorecard
Your answers and the resulting scores are saved as soon as you finish the questions, before you give us any contact details. At that point the record holds no information that identifies you.
If you then choose to unlock your full report, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number if you give one, your brand name, website, number of locations and the stage your franchise is at. This is attached to the answers you already gave.
When you contact us or book a call
If you email us or book a discovery call, we hold whatever you send us so that we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. Calls are booked through Calendly, which collects your name, email and chosen time.
When you browse the site
If you agree to analytics cookies, Google Analytics records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, and how you arrived. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is recorded.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To produce and send your scorecard report. You have asked us for it, so we process your details to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To follow up about your results. Our legitimate interests in offering a service you have shown clear interest in. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.
- To understand how the site is used. Your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations. Where the law requires us to keep records.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you. The scorecard scores your answers, but a person reads the result before we act on it.
Who processes it for us
We keep the number of suppliers small and use each for one clear purpose:
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Supabase stores scorecard records and the generated report files.
- PDFShift turns your report into a PDF.
- SendGrid sends your report by email and notifies us of a new enquiry.
- Google Analytics reports on site usage, only if you have agreed.
- Calendly handles call bookings.
Some of these are based outside the UK. Where information is transferred abroad, it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
The snag tool
Our client feedback tool works entirely inside your own browser. Notes you record are stored locally on your device and are never sent to us until you choose to export the file and send it. Clearing your browser data removes them.
How long we keep it
Scorecard records and the reports generated from them are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we have an active relationship and for six years afterwards where we need them for accounting or legal reasons. Analytics data is retained by Google for 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold, correct anything wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to another provider. You can object to us using it for our legitimate interests, and you can withdraw consent for analytics at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.
Email info@twinegrowth.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies until you agree. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart and measure how the site is used. If you decline, nothing is stored and the site works exactly the same.
The scorecard and the snag tool use your browser's local storage to remember your progress and your notes. This never leaves your device and is not used to track you.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant we will tell anyone affected directly.
