The UK Franchise Growth Index has been built through extensive independent research.

We’ve researched franchise directories, franchise opportunity websites, industry organisations, franchisor websites, company information and other publicly available sources to identify UK franchise networks and understand the businesses behind them.

But our research also uncovered a big problem. Franchise information online is incredibly fragmented. We found conflicting network information, outdated figures, missing information and franchise opportunities still appearing online that appeared to no longer exist.

So, we made a decision.

We wouldn’t simply copy existing franchise directories to build the Index.

Every network needs to be researched. That means there will inevitably be genuine UK franchise networks we haven’t discovered yet.

If yours is one of them, we want to know.

The UK Franchise Growth Index is not a franchise directory. We go much deeper.

The people behind the Index are growth experts with decades of experience growing businesses and franchise networks. We’ve built franchise networks ourselves and we’ve helped grow networks from tens to hundreds of locations.

We’re now applying that experience to growing the reach and usefulness of The UK Franchise Growth Index. That includes:

We’re not simply building it and waiting for people to find it.

We’re actively investing our own skills, time and money into growing it, and we’re not charging you for that exposure.

This was a deliberate decision.

As part of building the Index, we researched the commercial models used by UK franchise directories and franchise opportunity websites.

Depending on the platform and package, published listing prices can run into hundreds or thousands of pounds per year. Other platforms charge per enquiry, and guidance published by UK franchise directories puts a good cost per lead at around £20 to £50, and more for the warmest enquiries.

Those businesses have their own commercial models.

Ours is different.

We don’t want the completeness of The UK Franchise Growth Index to depend on which franchise networks are prepared to pay to appear.

If you’re a genuine UK franchise network and we can establish the information required for inclusion, we want the opportunity to research you.

Hopefully, exactly what you would want to happen. Someone discovers your network through the Index. They explore your information, decide they want to know more, click through to your own franchise website, and they enquire directly with you.

There is no charge for that enquiry.

We don’t charge a referral fee or a commission, and if that person eventually becomes your next franchisee, we don’t send you an invoice.

Why? Because helping people discover and connect with UK franchise networks is part of what we want the Index to achieve.

If we charged networks to be included, the Index would only represent the networks willing or able to pay us, and that’s not the picture we want to build.

We want established networks, growing networks, newer networks, large networks, small networks, household names, and franchise opportunities most people haven’t discovered yet.

The value of the Index comes from building the most complete and useful picture of UK franchise growth we reasonably can.

Your network might be one of the pieces we’re currently missing.

Being included also doesn’t mean you can pay to change how your network is represented.
